Can anyone provide a cogent criticism why being "edgy" is bad?

Fuck you asshole I enjoyed those a lot when I was in middle school. It's fucking cats who run around and do nature stuff, how the hell is that even edgy?

Fuck. Why didn't I ever think that there would almost certainly be an mpl/brony-tier autistic following. Well, I still enjoy the stories, I mean, I don't think there's a cozier book series in existence, no matter how juvenile it is. I just loved the spirit of nature and the wild they portrayed, and how free and happy they were, even though they were just fuckin' cats, hell, I still do.

yeah but actually those were pretty good for what they were

comfy escapism featuring the comfiest of all animals

too bad I've grown snobby to the point I probably couldn't enjoy them much now. Besides, the first series of 6 was great, the second was eh, the book about that main character orange cat going and then ending fighting rats was amazing, the third series is where I stopped because it was getting boring, tons of prophecies and shit that I didn't care about. The first series and that firestar's quest or whatever standalone book I look back upon fondly

I enjoyed this one in 7th grade to the point I watched the movie and somehow enjoyed that as well

Certainly hold it more fondly in my 7th grade reads than I do 1984

should have just been about a bunch of wild cats that survive in the wilderness, they made that shit way so complicated that i just felt exhausted from trying to understand everything it wanted me to.

I remember reading that in 8th grade, as I got the books from the school book fair. I was really disappointed with the 4th one. It's been a while, though.
