Moore writes quite well, though. His ideas aren't vague or inconsistent at all.

Ya, they're just crazy and in crazier dressing

>Islam will be able to reform from scratch and survive the apocalypse
I know he's much better read and knowledgeable than me on most subjects, but that one doesn't jive

Islam is one of the most militarist and anti-outsider religions. If any organized group of people can survive an apocalypse, it's a group of muslims with guns. ANd they have a lot of those.

Not that - he has Islam as the only religion whose beliefs survive the apocalypse because a population of peaceful ones suddenly e.g. stop treating women like shit and *write a new Quran*, which makes zero sense if you know anything about it.

I wouldn't bet on a culture that has "Insha'Allah" as its credo. Working with people from Saudi Arabia is the most annoying thing ever - instead of predicting problematic areas and trying to fix them, it's "Insha'Allah" instead, "eeeeh, if God wants to, it will be fixed" (by someone else)

>> No.6419280

>>6419272
That's just because current Arab culture tends towards stupidity. They have the proverb "trust in God but tie your camel" which tells me that at some time in history they believed in fixing shit.

Okay yes that's a load of horseshit

You're probably right. Islam has remained rigid in evolution compared to the timeline of Christianity. On the flip side it's also young as a religion, so time will tell if any dramatic revolutions shall come about.

Dude it's older than forms of Christianity and only two hundred years younger than formalized Christianity.

A lot of things can happen in 200 hundred years, no? With various social justice movements rapidly expanding, being the internet age and all, the Islamic dominated regions will either keep their hold or they won't.

Brion Gysin
any avant-garde poet
Genesis P-Orridge (always interesting, but always a waste of time)
