Why don't you read the Marquis, lads? He's edgy, humorous and writes 4chan flavoured Platonic dialogues.

I have. Why are you so presumptuous?

I was reading Juliette but got bored halfway through.

Because it's the only way to get people to reply to your OP tbh.

I enjoyed Philosophy in the Bedroom the most. It's shorter, not as repetitive, mostly dialogue and written as a play. Best introduction to his work, I think.

A lot of people actually start with 120 Days of Sodom, which is unfortunate since it's an unfinished piece of shit.

Read Justine, wasn't a huge fan. It just got extremely formulaic.

He makes me roll my eyes in a bad way.

If his name didn't have the connotations it does he would be entirely forgotten.

But his name has those connotations because he was the first to write about such things. So he's rightly remembered.

His materialist egoist hedonism was also pretty remarkable for the time.

He was a radical republican who wrote black humor. To take him at face value would be like taking Tom Lehrer at face value.

You don't need to take him at face value for the theories presented in his work to be remarkable for the time though.
