Hey /lit/

Basically, I'm job shadowing a journalist for the culture section of a newspaper and she gave me the assignment of writing a book review.

Any tips? Things I should and/or shouldn't do?

just keep in mind the people reading the reviews in the newspaper will be on the lower spectrum of intelligence (most people) and rather than doing an analysis you'll want to include emotional appeals and state why the book breaks ground or doesn't
