Are Miguel de Cervantes's other works worth reading?

I really liked Don Quixote and I was thinking of looking into his other stuff

I've read a couple of his other short stories/novellas that were alright. It does seem as though Quixote would have been one of these short stories too but I guess Cervantes realized the potential of what he had written as he was going and decided to continue on with it. Cervantes sounds like he was such a cool dude.
