How do you keep a paperback from splitting down the middle? I've had a couple straight up tear in two on me, and I'm always worried halfway through. I tend to bend them sometimes to break them in like a good pair of boots.

Paperbacks are meant to be read and then thrown out. If you want decoration for your room, buy some leatherbound hardbacks.

"The smart board", yeah right.

>> No.6342711

Paperbacks are basically the disposable razors of books. Just toss it out when you are done reading it, don't hold on to it like you own anything of value

ooooo I want all of those, especially the classics.

My "Portable Dante" really pisses me off since it throws the color scheme off.

>>6342706

I can't afford hardbacks or leather bounds man. Penguine Classic paperbacks are splurging for me, I usually go for Dover thrifts and I'm probably going to go blind by age 50 because of it.

>>6342705

I have a Kindle but I just feel like I'm on the computer when I try to use it, and the smallest print-size setting is like 1/3 of a physical book page, which I dislike. I also can't underline or throw sticky-notes on the Kindle. It's a trade-off. You can lay on your side and never have to change position but I really don't think I could do a paper using e-Books.
