What does /lit/ think about this? I personally liked it a lot.

You should go. Not even because I dislike this book, I do, for many reasons. But the type of person who would enjoy this book, who would admit to enjoying that type of book, has no place among the snobs here.

I've never even heard of it. Gimme the quick and dirty on this book.

Story about cancer patient girl falling in love with a cancer survivor guy. Really heartwarming and beautiful, and the end made me cry.

It's young adult. By a particularly try hard author who shovels in ham fisted, vomit inducing attempts to be deep. Name drops philosophers none of his intended audience would know in an attempt to boost his cred with those who would bother looking them up.

Also, he has a youtube channel where he posts videos of his SJW approved history lessons.

Also, it tries way too hard to provoke an emotional response, as such it feels forced, and unnatural. Like it's wank fuel for someone who gets off on sadness.

I liked Looking for Alaska better, similar dramatic formula though. My question is whether or not I should read Paper Towns.

yes but at least our shitty authors tried to be subtle

The first half of the book was amazing, but then it went on a horrible way. The author attempts to write a philosophical story to "teens" and all he achieves is a shitty book to "teens" who want to look "smart"
