That's probably true. I think there might be some kind of disconnect between the internet and real life. If I saw her when she was reacting it then I probably would have been very comforting and sympathetic but on 4chan it's just another thing to laugh at. I may actually need to stop coming here.

having a sense of "black humor" is not uncommon. And its especially easy to laugh as how absurdly wrong a situation is; especially so when you are not in it yourself, or directly care about the person in it.

Jew pizza jokes might be a laugh, but if you ever met a holocaust survivor you smarten up because you get the real sense of the person.

Overall I don't think its a bad thing as long as you dont confuse lack of seriousness as total lack of caring.
