I read and enjoyed it. Just wanted to hear a different opinion

>> No.6197077

Yes. It isn't too difficult (compared with his other stuff) and it's quite funny. Along with with the atmosphere of the early seventies, the book is a lot of fun.

I watched the film and didn't like it. Does that mean I won't like the book or did PTA change a lot?

If you're at a university and have JSTOR, try searching for some published reviews. Half the time I get some cool new perspectives from the articles

In about half of the articles I read relating to a book, the review or analysis of said book gives me new ways to think about said book.

Just don't watch the film since it's not that great of an adaptation and misses out A LOT of material from the books aside from the well known stuff you see in the trailer.
