I quite liked The Hunger Artist. In the Penal Colony is overrated.

The Judgement is THE most layered book I've ever read in my life.
It's presentation is nothing short of masterful. And even more, above any self-(or otherwise)proclaimed masters.

>> No.6167392

"Description of a Struggle."

It's just so delightfully weird. Plus there's a statue devoted to it.

I also quite like the story titled "A Country Doctor" (good collection too, but I mean specifically that story.)

The Judgement is my favorite as well. He just nailed the atmosphere

>> No.6167462

The sirens, and that one about don quijote

>> No.6167539

I'm going to say The Judgment was the most satisfying of his short stories.
Also, if you haven't seen this you might want to check it out.

Yeah, this is my favorite too.

I also for some reason really enjoyed The Great Wall of China, though I couldn't say why.
