In what order do you read: Antigone, Oedipus The King, Oedipus At Colonus?

>> No.6155608

Your mother.

>> No.6155609

In my opinion you should read them either in the order of their events (Oedipus Rex, Oedipus at Colonus, Antigone), or in the order Sophocles wrote them (Antigone, Rex, Colonus). I prefer the latter mostly because Colonus has a redemptive tone that makes it a rewarding close to the trilogy.

Lmao, pleb? You're supposed to read all of them at once. One eye per book. Taking a nasty bong rip helps. Good luck.

I read Oedipus the king -> Antigone, and I've yet to read Colonus.

>> No.6155770

personally i would read them in chronological order. antigone is my favorite and a lot more feels at stake after familiarizing yourself with the setting.

you cant really do wrong, just offering a different viewpoint to >>6155609 , i'm not really sold on colonus closing, it's sort of like a 'what happens between the two' im not sure needed telling

>> No.6156026
