Sup /lit/,

Has anyone read Petersburg by Andrei Bely? I want to finish this book within a month (+-500 pages) and I want to know more or less which chapters to read (Rather than the whole book).

Eternal gratitude in return.

Wow, I've never gone from happy to quite upset from one sentence that quickly before. Do you have an ongoing bet and to prove it you have to summarize the novel in essay-form? Just read the whole thing, anon...

If you've ever taken any literary course you know that books most of the time aren't fully covered

Post-high school I've only seen that with philosophy and non-fiction in my experience, but I'm sure it happens. Don't see how that's relevant though because if it was for a class they wouldn't be asking, or if you're trying to justify reading only "Selected Chapters" for pleasure is okay then you should probably leave.

I've told you in my OP about the time constraint

Right, and do you have a bet to finish it within a month? Plus, 500 pages in a month is easy. That's less than 20 pages per day!

Even if Petersburg is as difficult as I've heard, you should still be able to read 50 pages in a day. Get it together OP and read the whole thing.

What do you guys think of Bruisov?

Especially Fiery Angel. I finished it recently and had a blast

This, really
You could easily average at least 50 pages in a single hour of concentrated reading
