Protestant Ethic and the Spirit of Capitalism is his most important/famous/influential.

Depends on what she's interested in. Protestant Ethics is the most famous one, but you might also try with some writings about methodological individualism. The latter can be very technical though, but they are more important in relation to the core of sociology.

Who says she's even literate? Weber's basic ideas are reiterated in every Intro to Sociology course in America from high school on through college.

I feel she would be more interested in methodological individualism. Which collection should I look out for?

>Weber says social phenomena produce economic relations of capitalism
Which is it, /lit/? They can't both be right, can they?

Mutual influence makes most sense and it is questionable to which degree you can separate those two realms.

Simmel made somewhere a funny critique of that part of Marx, though I doubt I'll find it now.

In Spanish is called "El Político y el científico" / "The politician and the scientist". A recompilation of two conferences; Science as a vocation and Politics as a vocation.
