Thoughts? Is this an accurate critique of Sartre and Nietzsche?

Why are characters in novels and tv shows and movies always so hamfisted and fake

nobody talks like this irl lmao
it feels like a parody of itself

That's how most conversations here go, though

yep. but we're communicating with text, not speech
I guess that's the problem with adapting text to speech or trying to portray realism in dialogue

Actuallyt he conversations here go nothing like that

Actually it doesn't seem like that was supposed to be really realistic at all.

Do you mean to imply that no good acting has ever been paired with well-written dialogue?

>> No.6127145

That's the episode where one of the characters calls Lacan a deconstructionist lol. I remember dropping the show because of that

>> No.6127162

Well the actual reason I dropped the show is because I decided that it was little more than torture porn disguised as middlebrow entertainment, though the writers pretending that they're intelligent by having characters namedrop philosophers with no real understanding of any of their work certainly contributed to my judgment of the show as middlebrow

An absurdist wouldnt say that there is no absolute Truth, he simply believes that man does not have access to it
