Literally the Greeks. Nietzsche was the first philosopher I read, after reading the Greeks I realised that I didn't understand him at all and had to read his work again.

Birth of Tragedy

If you want to jump to Human, All Too Human afterwards you should be fine. Just beforehand pre-game on the basics of philosophy in late-19th century Germany. It'll help a lot to know what he's trying to criticize, what historical information he and his rivals had available, and why everyone was giving him shitty reviews all the time.

Everyone starts with Nietzsche, which is a horrible idea since he lives solely to be a contrarian and set impossibly high standards. I'd suggest holding off until you at least get a sense of why he's butthurt all the time, but if you're like me and absolutely can't wait, start with BoT.

I'd say Beyind Good and Evil serves as the best introduction seeing that it was written by Nietzsche to explain his whole philosophy in simpler terms than Zarathustra.
