It would help if you knew what purple prose was. The term describes something so elaborately and obnoxiously overwritten that it annoys the reader and takes away from the actual story.

Lolita is just good writing. Don't hate because you can't do it.

The theme was groundbreaking for it's time, and it still is really. Despite what delusional pedos think, it's not a pro-pedophilia story. It shows, in pretty graphic detail, just how bad of an idea it is to get romantically involved with a 14 year old.

It's beautiful in it's ugliness, thanks in large part to the narrator and his "purple prose".
