I don't even know how to answer 'who are your favourite authors' mainly because I don't like reading that much to have a favourite author.

Hope you aren't one of those people that are like,

"...don't you think that if he was just more competent he'd be like a Algeria's wall street ballers without morals to restrict"

"Actually, it is pronounced Mersault

"I will hang you from your intestines"

Maybe that last line was from my fantasies

Favorites are a social construct. Their inherent Ideology implies that you must also have a least favorite, eg something you hate for something you love. This is a throwback to when our species were warlike apes fighting each other for berries and deer

Someone asked me what I was reading on my ereader. That was tricky because it doesn't show the title on the page screens and I've completely forgotten what the book's called.

>not having a handful of queued responses, based on your estimate of the questioner's powerlevel
>not carefully naming a title they'll be familiar with, in order to avoid the follow-up question, "what's that about" in which you're then required to provide a detailed, enthusiastic description in which you'll be judged on your delivery

As someone who is genrally pretty anxious I just organise shit that I'm going to say in these situations before hand man to keep conversations going, and from there its pretty easy to move into why you like it
