So how bout all that cuckolding in the last half?

Jesus fucking christ I dont remember all this cuck shit in this book when I skimmed through it in my youth.

>> No.6089081

You didn't know 4chan. Let me guess, next big question is "Was Humbert autistic?"

>> No.6089090

I didn't think he was autistic, I just thought the book had a lot of cuck shit in it.

>> No.6089094

I was also surprised by the large amount of TTKM

>> No.6089126

>fucking christ I dont remember

Sounds like you have been indoctrinated--"pilled" I believe is the term used on this site--into finding a specific, bogus interpretation into everything you read. Try reading it without your thought-masters dictating what you should find.

what's TTKM? It's not like Mao, is it?

Its a fantastic book, no doubt. But I don't enjoy cuckoldry.

So what stuck out to you about what was vile in lolita was cuckoldry?

What are you talking about? When does Humbert Humbert get cuckolded?

Agreed, OP. Such a fun book, then...the fucking cuckoldry? What the hell? Did an SJW Tumblr faggot write this? I wrote "Go back to Reddit" on my copy and mailed it to the South Pole.

tbh I wasn't expecting him to ask that black man to *#%@ Lolita while he sat there watching either. I thought it was different and interesting.

'I think he tore something inside me" really got me

>> No.6089318

The idea of a nymphet is repulsive and only appeals to masochistic pederasts; like perhaps the author.
An opinion of mine is that Nabokov was not a masochist but perhaps someone who desired to create a work of fiction that would infuriate those who do enjoy "nymphets", to any outsider the novel is a look into a sadistic delusional man with an obsession, but to those with that obsession the events are almost that straight from fantasy, the author knew this and decided to use it to bring a the crushing realism upon those readers "in the know" who perhaps liked the idea of such fantasies which the first half of the book entices.
It's showing them that THIS is truly the reality of your fantasy, you cannot cage the bird so to speak.
If anything this book is more or less an anti-lolicon piece of literature, yet no normal person can see it.

I think OP is talking about le mysterious man whom Lola runs away with.

>> No.6089384

>>6089318
This, so much fucking this.

This is exactly what I got from the book and it's in actuality what it's about. It's not a pedo book and it's not misinterpreted as erotica because frankly, the first half of the book is fucking tantalizing. Then Nabokov throws a cold bucket of water on your face and says "this is what it'd really be like, you fucking monster!"

As far as cuckholding, I think OP is talking about how Humbert practically pleaded with Lo at the end. But whatever, what'd you expect, for them to ride off in the sunset?

>> No.6089735

Pretty sure he's talking about all those times (which aren't clear on a first read) when Lolita sneaks away to have sex with Quilty while she's still living w/ Humbert.

Its a collection of stories, only some of which are in poetic verse, connected by a underlying plot.
