I prefer not to play this silly game of n dimensional axes and so forth.

Human life creates the potential for both intense suffering and great joy, all shades of experience in between.

The goal is always a generalization of our particular experience: suffering is to be diminished, and joy to be increased.

This objective is situated within a complex arrangement of facts and tendencies: it is easy to say we wish to decrease suffering, difficult to decide exactly how this is done.

The first bit is moral, the last pragmatic, political. Thorough study of social and political history sheds light on how to best (or most pragmatically) achieve the moral goals in the context of politics.

Never stray too far from these first principles: the greatest danger occurs when individuals seek individual greatness over societal goodness. Another rule of thumb: avoid dogmatic and triumphalist views.

YOU SEEM TO BELIEVE THAT A CENTRIST POSITION —IN THIS "TEST", AND MOST ONLINE SOCIOPOLITICAL "TESTS"— EQUALS TO "MODERATION"; YOU ARE MISTAKEN; IN THIS TEST, AND MOST ONLINE SOCIOPOLITICAL "TESTS", POSITIONS TENDING TOWARD THE CENTER OF THE PLANE ARE RADICAL POSITIONS, ABSOLUTE ZERO (ZERO POINT ZERO "XY") BEING THE MOST RADICAL POSITION POSSIBLE.

RADICAL: FROM LATIN "RADIX" ("ROOT").

CENTRE: THE CENTRAL ZONE IN A POLITICAL CARTESIAN PLANE, EXTENDING TWO POINTS FROM ZERO, FORWARD AND BACKWARD, ALONG THE "X" AXIS, AND TWO POINTS FROM ZERO, UPWARD AND DOWNWARD, ALONG THE "Y" AXIS.

THE RADICAL CENTRE MENTALITY ADDRESSES THE ORIGIN OR PRIME CAUSE OF EVERYTHING, FROM AN ABSOLUTIST PERSPECTIVE, ARISING FROM THE ROOT, AND RETURNING TO IT.

RADICAL POSITIONS TEND TOWARD THE CENTER OF THE PLANE, AND ARE THE LESS COMMON POSITIONS.

EXTREME POSITIONS TEND TOWARD THE EXTREMES OF THE PLANE, AND ARE THE MOST COMMON POSITIONS.

>radical forms of governments can work
You need to understand that not everyone is going to agree with the government's actions no matter how good the results they produce are.

People have different goals in life and so government, as government shapes and molds our lives.

These goals are far from objective, and so eventually society drags government to their local take on a balanced government.

While your very special flavor of extremism may be way more efficient than a balanced government, people are not perfect and many will oppose you just for the sake of it and no government can stand when those who oppose it gain more power than those who up hold it. The speed of which this occurs is proportional to the extremity of the government (or lack of it) in question. And then like a phoenix from the ashes a generic mediocre government will rise and devour all.

Though I do love extremism it never is stable for long periods of time. If only we had excess undisturbed space for social experimentation with extreme forms of government.

My personal opinion on which established school of government works "best" varies greatly by the local population size, cultural ideals, and technology levels for the most part.

No one on a Manchurian glass work literature board is going to have a great deal of insight into matters of politics and philosophy.

>> No.6085761

>>6085749
polsci degree here, I agree. it's an actual concept called civic culture, where the politically disinterested masses act as a dampener on the extreme swings of the minority radicals, keeping everything centric and stable. most political scientists agree this is a desirable thing

>> No.6085764

>>6085749
>People have different goals in life and so government

This is exactly why what you're saying is pretty silly. This is not a test of what form of government you believe will create a stable society. It is a test of your personal political leanings.

There is a big difference between my personal political views and what I think would be best for an entire country. I recognize that tending toward the middle is best for society, while my views are personally libertarian.

>> No.6085790

Didn't take the test but I've taken this before and I'm pretty far down and to the left.

Not necessarily saying that this test is worthless (it isn't) but it's two pretty narrow aspects of a lot of complex positions: the test doesn't consider how you prefer to achieve change to your preferred position, for example.

bottom right -> figures out that all is not right with the world, but fails to understand power structures and how they are harmful. thinks the weak are only weak because they choose to be and blames all his problems on the weak even when his problems are caused by those stronger than he.. hasn't figured out that big business is the same as politicians

bottom left -> true master race. figures out that all is not right with the world, and understands power structures and how they are harmful. understands that the weak are not weak by choice and are often held down by the strong. believes that each man should be free but that each man also has a moral obligation to his community. intelligent, sexually succesful
