Readable pulp

The Cole Protocol is easily the worst of the books in my opinion. None are GREAT, but at least Fall of Reach and Ghosts of Onyx were good.

I have to agree, here. It wasn't terrible, and it was pretty nice seeing Keyes as a Lieutenant already developing a habit of ballsy amateur heroics. But the whole Insurrectionist plot had no real drive to it.

Pick up the short fiction anthology, though. It's like a fuckin' mind grenade.

I didn't like The Cole Protocol, but The Fall of Reach was good!

The Halo books are enjoyable, as odd as that may sound.

The Fall of Reach > The Ghosts of Onyx > Contact Harvest > The Cole Protocol > First Strike > The Flood (ugh)
