Fox News, Sky News and all the other supposedly 'Right Wing' news media were promoting Syriza as the party of the people. That's strange is it not? Isn't the Murdoch brand opposed to 'Socialism' yet here they are supporting them. Why?

Because they are terrified of the Golden Dawn; The openly Greek Fascist Party. Unlike the Socialists of the past many decades, Fascists never compromise their promises or policies for the wants and whims of International Capital. They have always sought the interests of their citizens and in doing so will find any alternative to fulfill those promises.

Unlike the strict ideals of Marxism & Capitalism which follow the arbitrary ideals of Liberty and Equality. Fascism seeks Capability. It seeks interest. It does not seek some far off Utopian endgame of a stateless society run by an egalitarian proletariat that magically functions without hierarchy, nor does it base its functions on the whims of business. Its focus is on the states interests.

If that means abandoning NATO, creating an entirely new economic system or shutting down parasitical Trade Unions. So be it. If it means opposing International Capital and Oil oligarchies, then it will be done. Without the limitations of arbitrary goals and lobbyists, Fascism has almost no obstacles when rebuilding nations and culture. This unique structure will tempt businessmen, entrepreneurs and other states across the world to do trade and investment.

The Golden Dawn seeks the interests of the citizen and International Capital is directly opposed to those interests, unlike Syriza which will compromise like all the other Socialists.

To prevent the Golden Dawns surging in power, multiple steps have been taken. The main leadership have been jailed under ridiculous charges of being part of a 'criminal gang' based upon the murder of anti fascist rapper, Pavlos Fyssas. The media tells us it was a political event but in reality, it was likely an argument over football that got out of hand. The Police still used this as justification to arrest the leadership and claimed a conspiracy among the Golden Dawn leadership. As if the Golden Dawn is going to put out a hit using an uninitiated to bump off some unknown leftist rapper. Ridiculous.

NatSoc is a reactionary ideology, fascism is a proactive ideology, it's not built upon getting back at enemies, be they rich, Jewish, or old war adversaries.

Yeah, all those communists, anarchists, and liberal democrats (not to mention homosexuals, feminists, and more) that were executed in Italy/Spain/Portugal/Latin America/etc. certainly wasn't Fascists exacting their anger on those that they were scapegoating for why their respective countries aren't empires anymore.

Well, in that anon's defense, when such statements were made around the time of the Industrial Revolution, they were more about how you'll be able to produce the same output with less input/work. Which was entirely true, but they didn't realize the world was going to want to increase output while maintaining input and not vice versa.

Now, in this context/time period, however, that anon is talking more about automation and AI, which is entirely different paradigm; it's not 'less input,' it's 'no input.'

Fascism is a reactionary movement.

i.e. When Syriza fails, Golden Dawn will be there to pick up the pieces.

Do you guys honestly think Syriza is going to be any different from any other left wing party ever voted in? They'll lose nearly every seat in the next election (if there is one)

Fascism is not reactionary.
The intense nationalism that is required for fascism stems from the French Revolution.

In both Italy and Germany, it was intensely anti-clerical.

I could go on, but it occurs to me that you have absolutely no idea what reactionary ideas are

Fascism was a reaction to the failure of democracy and communism and sought to bring back the Roman empire in Europe.

I know a lot of people say this is banal bullshit, but it is 100% that if fascists didn't get to power in Spain, Italy and Germany, then every one of those countries would have fallen under control of socialists. In fact, fascists in Italy were specifically supported by the King to stop socialism.

poor decisions such as drug abuse, alcohol addiction and violence are usually brought about not by a choice but a compulsion, stemming from their upbringing and the influence of contextual factors. Also are you claiming that addiction does not come under the umbrella term of mental illness?

I'm so happy these loonies won. Now they can fuck Greece over even more with retarded economic policies and ensure Greece will stay a backwater third world shithole for at least the next hundred years.

I just wish West still had the backbone it had a hundred years ago and responded to it by sending in the troops and annexing Greek islands to get the debt repayment. And then sell off those islands to Turkey for maximum butthurt.

Christ man... Are those LGBT flags? Unless gays are actually discriminated against under law, these trivial issues should really take the backseat and let people actually reform the economy. Hitler's military plans did tend to be pretty awful. He chose not to focus air force resources on creating a fighter to match or surpass the British Spitfire and that really cost them. Also, he figured Britain being isolated rather than conquered was good enough. Then there's the whole Russia thing which almost worked but ended up being a disaster.

Hitler's talent was definitely speeches. A former message runner shouldn't have been at the top of the chain of command of an entire world war.

Sinn Fein have a chance to usurp the main leftist party and become the 3rd largest party in the Dail, the best they can hope is to be a minor partner in government (which is unlikely because they know how disasterous it is for the minor partners).
