I need to find the book Bear by Marian Engel for school (it costs way too much money on Amazon) so does anyone have an ebook?

If you Canadian, which you are, because why the fuck else would you need to read Bear, just go to Chapters/Indigo. There was a fairly recent edition of it in fairly good circulation as recently as two months ago. 15 bucks.

Actually, I am not Canadian (I am taking a Canadian literature class)

I thought this book was a /lit/ joke. This is something that would be read in a classroom?

Apparently so. The shipping from the website that was posted here costs more than the book because I am outside of Canada.

If you paste some random lines from the book into google, you might find the full text on some site somewhere. I've found a lot of books this way.

Canuck here. The book is awesome, and it's hilarious that it costs that much in the U.S. Sorry I can't part with my copy for you.

I don't think anything in that book could possibly top "Bear, I love you. Pull my head off." but I hope it does. Sounds almost Carlton Mellick III tier.

It's required reading for all Grade 11s in Ontario

>“Fascinating and profound, this novel speaks of a woman’ strange (some would say bizarre) and moving journey toward inner freedom and strength, and ultimately toward a sense of communion with all living creatures. It’s an astounding novel, both earthy and mythical, which leads into the human self and also outward to suggest and celebrate the mystery of life itself.”
