How do you entertain yourself, aside from reading? Having stopped playing video games and lots of similar stuff, I'd like to know how everybody else does it.
Obviously, when I'm talking about entertainment, I'm referring to comedy

I listen to a lot of music. Get into /mu/core. The memery element makes people shun it but there's some good shit.

most of the time i dont really do anything at all. its kinda funny, my friends often ask me what ive been up to all week and i always have to tell them that i didnt do shit. they know i dont have a tv and during the week i dont have an internet connction either, so they really ask themselves what im doing with my time. they wouldnt believe me if i told them that i pretty much just sit on my bed for a couple hours before i go to sleep again, so i usually make a shitty joke when they ask.

reading isn't my main thing but I read at least 5 days a week.

otherwise I like programming and electronics, listening to music, making music, video games (can be too time consuming, try to limit myself to stuff im only really interested in)

trying to learn something new is generally a good thing to do if you have too much free time

im trying to get into hiking too, ive been jogging, im just too lazy to organize a trip with friends

I want them to go away but I love them all, and how can I rudely reject some without rudely rejecting others? Sometimes I put some stupid shitty series on, but that's mostly before going to sleep. "Community" isn't that bad and sometimes they do explore interesting concepts or theories but they never seem to give them full potential. Worth a try though.

Comics and mangas can be nice for comedy.

Try stuff like Calvin & Hobbes.
For the (western) authors, I couldn't say, as I'm not really into comedic euro comics, but Franquin and Gotlib seems to be classics. If you understand french, there are Bastien Vivès' strips.

For the eastern, try Nekojiru, works by Imiri Sakabashira, Usamaru Furuya, Takashi Kurihara, Isami Nakagawa, Yusaku Hanakuma

Film (at least three movies each week), music (start my morning off with half an hour of classical. Listen to a lot of jazz and rock mostly experimental), and some videogames(I mostly play thief fan missions these days. Otherwise games that looks interesting.)

If you're looking for Comedy, watch Tim and Eric and their derivatives. I think of it as comedy for people who have watched so much comedy they're de-sensitized to laughter.
