What is your favorite children's book (or book series), and why?

Besides the one pictured, I personally liked the series written by Garth Nix or RL Stine, as well as Animorphs.

Those books had amazing covers.

I enjoyed the magic treehouse books and they probably sparked my lifelong interest in history.

Pic related is my untouchable favorite piece of children's literature though.

For me it was The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter and Series of Unfortunate Events.
