Bed frames literally only add height to a mattress' position off the ground. They have no other function.

There's no inherent need to have one unless you dislike moving your body more when getting in or out of bed.

mmmm my parents built a huge deck in the backyard last summer with this large outdoor couch with waterproof pillows and an umbrella. It was so comfy to read on there, just stretch out in the sun and nap and read. We had this other outside nook on this sort of balcony that was pretty great too - got a lot of sunlight. I probably read 60 or 70 books on this wicker couch over the years.

only problem with reading outside for me other than my country's gay climate is that in the summer my backyard gets fucking infested with wasps and I'm terribly afraid of wasps. yellowjackets, fucking woodwasps with massive gross ovipositors, yellowjackets with longer than usual legs, small black wasps, and my least favourite wasp, the bald faced hornet fuck those little shits. Got stung like two summers in a row I should get government compensation.
