Based on enjoyment I'd say A Clockwork Orange, but only because I find it so hilarious so I'm not counting it. If we're going for my favorite book in terms of prose or literary merit, it would have to be Siddhartha. Steppenwolf might be better in some aspects but I found it a tad dragging at times, and the ending was bad.

I have read every Pynchon book but this is the one I keep coming back to. Something about it's manageable scale makes it such a pleasure to read, being able to take it all in at once and read it in a day
