What grounds does God have to punish someone for eternity? What justification is there for a holy and perfect God to forgive a wicked and rebellious sinner? In other words, what grounds does God have to forgive the most vile and retched of people? Is this ever explicitly stated in The Bible?

Quite honest with you, God can do so he pleases. He can destroy the peoples, and forgive the sinner. We are but Mortals, and he is all. Those are Gods grounds.

They are real answers. God can do what he wants and most of what he wants is incredibly petty.

You're asking a question of ethics, but by starting with an assumption of Yahew being real, you make the question meaningless. "Right" is whatever God says it is, as is "wrong," if He exists. There's no place for external justification. His actions are by definition infallible, as He is supposedly omniscient and omnipresent and omnipotent. Therefore He can do no Wrong, because "wrong" only means shit he doesn't like.

People have free will so they can understand the pain that sinning causes. If there was no sin people wouldn't understand the beauty of grace and the true depth of Jesus' sacrifice. Or something like that.

Hell and Heaven are both largely unmentioned in the Bible, maybe you should read it before asking dumb questions.

In Job, God basically shows up and says "hey Job, shut the fuck up - I'm God".

So yes, he can because he's God

If you seek retribution and forgiveness for your sins, he will forgive and accept you into his kingdom. God loves all, even sinners. Forgiveness comes from your willingness to repent those sins.

God is perfect by definition for Christians therefore anything carried out by God is good and just in their view. Its the same with love, its a form of love alien to almost all human definition (despite us being created in its image) but still is seen as the highest form of love simply because it stems from god.

Seriously? Just what do you think is refering to when they are talking of salvation, and eternal life?

OP, if you want to know the real answer to you questions about the bible, check out jw.org. You will get answers, not based on the philosophical understandings of X or Y man, but based on what the bible itself says. Since the bible is the word of god; you'll get the answers based on the word of god and what he really thinks; the thoughts and ideas he really wanted to transmit to us through his word, the bible.

My bad; I should've explained how to navigate the site in order to reach the FAQ, so to speak. In the homepage of the site, go to where it says ''Bible Teachings'', and from there go to "Bible Questions Answered". There you will find answers to questions about various categories regarding the bible, such as god, jesus, family, death and other things.

Salvation is going to heaven the part about not being saved is staying on earth and getting and getting stinged by the prototype combat locusts that are commanded by a reverse angel general, if you actually read the bible the whole of revelation is barely mentioned again after jesus is born and sacrificedm the whole thing about him dying is to give every single human a chance to atone for whatever sins they commit in life and unlesou to monumentally fuck up life and refuse to repent then yeah, to the locusts and the abyss with you

Inst this just Jehovas witness heresy? The same people who think that only 144,000 people will be able to go to heaven.

What basis do you make your claim of hell consiting of simply staying on earth?

Do you find it interesting that the overwhelming majority of the bibles claims are based on "well thats the way it is" reasoning?
