Just finished this, anyone else read it?

I'll say that overall it was great, that crazy church bitch Mrs. Carmadie (The Mist) has nothing on Big Jim Rennie. I was expecting The Stand, but instead got a copped out ending with Alien kids and some cheap ants and a magnifying glass moral

Great until then though. Oh yea, one more thing.

I'd say it has the best villain in any King book ever. He's just so...easy to hate.

Plus, that one kid that threw rocks at the dome ;_;

Yea, he could have done any word to describe the rocks hitting the dome, and he chose -BONK-, and kept saying it.

For the rest of that chapter I heard the scout in my head yelling BONK. Then, he mentions Vince in a shamwow commercial, and I imagined him running through the flames saying "IM ON FRICKIN FIRE HERE. I laughed my ass off.

Skipped about 50 percent of it, straight to the end. First time in my entire life. I couldn't read the book without going into rage mode, Big Jim was the most 100% successful villain I've ever read. So successful that I wouldn't pick up this damned book again in a million years.

You should probably leave.

ending= crap

Cmon king, arbitrary character killing to elicit an emotion just cheapens your story. Also, the end was like reading the script for a sci-fi tv adaptation of it.
