sup /lit/ i want to get into reading and shit again i have heard the stand is a good book and am interested in reading it. people say there is an unedited version that is way better than later ones.

Yes, that is it. I don't know about "way better", though. It's certainly a good book, but a lot of parts were cut for a reason and inserting them back makes the story longer than it needs to be.

Why ppeople like stephen king? He is boring as shit. The stand might be his best work, and it´s still mediocre at best. And the dark tower is bad too, I don´t know why people praise that either.

The stand is a hella good book. A lot of people bash stephen king, and SOME of his books are a little boring, but most of them are good as fuck, and the stand is one of them. If you like the stand, you'll like Robert R. McCammon's Swan Song. You'll probably also like Stephen King's Dark Tower series.

It's a fun book, good place to start. Might as well get the unedited version, the paperback is as cheap as any version.
