Most good books are in the Public Domain and are available free on Amazon or are easily found just by googling them.

Just use your library or inter-library loan. Scan the pages if you want to keep them. I rarely find the books I want online and I consider myself quite practiced in finding other media online for torrent/download/irc/etc.

Now it seems like both TPB & ED are down at the same time.

In case anyone needs it here's a way around for TPB:

1. Google the material you're looking to + thepiratebay (or: "stuff site:thepiratebay.se")
2. Click on "cached"
3. Click on "Text-only version" if you want it to load faster
4. Click on "Get this torrent"

This should work for a while. There's also WaybackMachine as alternative.

There are also downloads of the whole tpb index available - not large at all, not sure if there's people running it as mirror to the official site.

However one shouldn't use a torrent site without a VPN - so I'd recommend using the other ones anyway.
