This board is no longer about literature. It's just a place for a group of NEETs with a half-assed interest in philosophy to get together and call each other idiots.

So, instead of actually making a thread that is about literature, you...do what, now?

It's never been anything else but this.

The only genuinely intellectual board on 4chan is probably /sci/

>> No.5836017

>>5836006
There is no intellectual board on 4chan. Contrary to popular belief, anonymity does not promote raw, passionate discussion. What it promotes is an even greater inflation of everyone's ego, mass deception, and laziness. There is nothing to gain from this site and no one on it to praise.

4chan is awful by nature, any attempts to go against the grain are futile

It's a vaguely themed shitposting board, just like every board on 4chan. It's a little more earnest than most, because its users have pretensions of 'passion' or 'seriousness'; but ultimately, no one gives a shit.

Eh, there's a fair amount of people who have a genuine understanding of basic concepts within discourse, so it's occasionally quite enjoyable to discuss things. I don't have too many people around me in real life who are genuinely interested in philosophy

I would eat out and violently fuck the girl in OPs pic.

And she would enjoy it because I'm handsome, well-read, and have abs.

Seems about right. The only interest taken seriously on 4chan is either the smallest boards or /v/ because they all can't be bothered to do anything else.

I feel the same way. Now that /pol/ has started burning it's only gotten worse than it was before, although it's been downhill for what feels like a long time. It feels like most people are just here to shitpost and pick fights about whatever "philosophy"/idea/etc. they've decided sounds cool and things they don't really want to put in the effort to read about beyond a wikipedia article or two. It feels like we have the same version of whatever the "debate of the week/month/" is, and it's always rehashing the same old arguments over and over again because nobody involved has read more than those. I guess until /pol/ comes back the debate of the month is going to be dominated by people pretending to be pagans.
