I read the first three books of asoiaf just for the war of the five kings. Best story about how the good guys fuck up and the bloody price one has to pay for defeat. When I saw how shit the fourth book was I just pretended that the story stopped there. I also cut out all the dany and jon snow bullshit.

Or read the accursed kings from maurice druon. Same story except real and written like a five year old, but at least it doesn't have dragons and forest leprechaun bullshit.
