Le Guin.

Get her a copy of ricesnot's critically acclaimed novel, "Rattle Me Bones!"

>> No.5773435

A boyfriend with bad tastes like her. Try ramming your head against a wall.

>City of Bones
Does she have all of the mortal instruments and infernal devices? Get her what's missing.

Good suggestion, actually.

City of Bones is urban fantasy, but you could buy her some "proper" fantasy if you think she'd be into it. Name of the Wind is a good shout.

Also, if she likes Gaiman's style, The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern is another good option. It's more magical realism than fantasy but the descriptions and settings are very Gaimanesque.

There you go, OP!

What is this this Moral Instruments thing anyway? Is it any good? I haven't read urban fantasy in a long time and I used to enjoy the genre as a kid.

The first few books were nice(when I was 18-21 and didn't read much "adult" fantasy), and the implied incest was hot but they never fucked, even though they built up to it and it pissed me off.

Also Claire is a fucking milkmaid, she is milking that series to death. It was suppose to be a trilogy and she made it into a 6+ book series.

Also OP look at this pic >>5772688 and choice some names and look online for the blurb, I enjoyed City of Bones when I was younger and got other books that were similar. Some suppose to be in that list.
