I stand that women can only act funny/goofy/cute.
Their abilities in joke or anecdote telling are, with the exception of a bare few, utterly missing

the funniest woman i have ever met was really just cute and goofy. actually, every funny girl joke i can recall has made me think they're cute, does female humor revolve around being cute?

i know this one fat gross woman who always tries to make jokes, she just says the 'funny part' in a loud, 'silly' voice. and not even like real jokes but just responding to regular questions/observations with ridiculous answers.

Not all of them. My wife varies between a very mean humor and a bookish one. Another girl I know has more of a Daria like.

i fucking hate this shit with a passion. Writing 'lovingly' for example is fucking lazy, shit, and stupid; it makes the reader have to do all the work.

The best opening I ever read gave me chills. It was a James Herbert books that opened with a dictionary definition. It was something like:

Haunt

1. Verb
To manifest repeatedly and cause distress or harm.

2. Noun
A feeding place for animals.
