37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.

38 This is the first and great commandment.

39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

The Douay Rheims bible was translated by the Catholic Church directly from the Latin Vulgate.

Eh. Don't really trust the Catholic Church, especially not the Pope. As a Protestant I suspect corruption in the Church, today, as it had been subject to in the past. One of the Popes will be the right-hand man of the Antichrist, as foretold in the Scriptures. I don't think the current Pope will be that man, but who knows, I don't trust him much anyways. I believe the current Pope talks of One World Government and other stuff, which is part of the plot of evil foretold in Scripture. Just can't trust the Church.

You have to remember the the early patriarchs settled in the east and only Rome was the western patriarch.
Thus Aramic and Greek were the main languages spoken by the church fathers and Hebrew was mainly a Jewish language.
