I'm a writer and I have a lot of bottled up frustrations. Should I take up boxing?

Boxing is an antiquated sport. MMA is our generation's boxing. Taking up boxing is like buying a typewriter and pocketwatch on a chain and thinking you're 'literary'. It's just out of touch unless you're a poor mexican/filipino child.

MMA is shitty and just designed to kill braincells.

i'm a muay thai guy and boxing is great.

martial arts ist not just about:
>muh streetfight
for streetfight you are better off by doing krav maga or jiu jitsu (not the brazilian one)

In most street encounters, they can be settled quickly if one person knows a bit of boxing and the other does not.

It's a pretty straightfoward and handy skill to have.

Beautiful. Repose of a pugilist, a fury who chooses to sit. I have the passing fantasy of owning it, but I know I would not. I'd never have the means.

This has made my day. Thank you.

This statue has made me want to become a boxer.

I'm already an athletic albeit large fellow, boxing would be a reasonable trade at which I may ply myself. I'm doing it.

yes do it. in my opinion, martial arts leads to a quite beautiful feeling of being alive (or "aware"), which i have never encountered in another sport.

it also has the benefits of every other sport: ceeping your mind calm and relaxed, building muscle and strength...
