But that exact cushiness prevents them ever organically experiencing competition, striving, ambition, self-mastery, victory, glory, and so on. No victory without risk of defeat.

There are a lot of delusional men posting garbage fiction online, but the majority of them probably quickly get the hint that they aren't 'winning', and move on to something else. Women will post garbage fiction for 20 years and just squirrel away a little niche for themselves where they consider themselves an artist but never get any recognition, never have any hope of their work being 'good'.
