new to lit

current books read:

vonnegut - cat's cradle
charles bukowski - ham on rye
charles bukowski - ordinary tales of madness

shopping for new books, my current list:

charles bukowski - post office
charles bukowski - women
charles bukowski - factotum
charles bukowski - pulp
william golding - lord of the flies
f scott fitzgerald - the great gatsby

i obviously like bukowski quite a lot, but can you recommend me 2-3 more books that isn't awfully hard to read? english is my second language and i'm not on that level to be reading high level lit

Kafka's a good author, but be wary not to let his works get you down.
