It is true that her stories do tend to feature quite a bit of misogynistic characters, but she does write sympathetic male characters as well. I would argue that, having lived through the women's rights movement, the psychology behind sexism is more important to her than to most female writers and so--

People who complain about Atwood's portrayals of men are cut from the same cloth as people who complain about Bukowski's portrayal of women.

Both authors present a few characters with extreme, lopsided characterizations. They are not generalizations of all men or all women. They are single characters with unique flaws specific to that individual. Only the politically correct crowd gets offended by it. Smart people realize the authors are producing fiction.

If you are offended by Atwood's men, you are as stupid as a feminazi who hates Bukowski. I hope someday achieve your bubble of political correctness.
