There is no intellectual merit in philosophy.

Philosophers are not intelligent.

What they write down are primitive thoughts every child occasionally thinks.

They muddle their investigations with academic forms and logical fallacies.

They fail to communicate their ideas accurately because they try to elevate their ideas as beyond primitive thought.

Philosophers and philosophy is inherently primitive.

There's a lot of generalizations here. For a person that wants us to know that philosophy is pointless and overstated, you really haven't provided a unique opinion nor do you have sufficient evidence to make the claim.

The fact is it really can't be INHERENTLY primitive. Philosophy is about wisdom. It considers not only our past, but our present and our future. Some philosophies are literally impossible to be understood without understanding their cultural/technological contexts, how is that primitive?

>Philosophers are not intelligent.
Let's assume you're right: so? If a dumb person has an interesting thought, the thought remains.

>They fail to communicate their ideas accurately because they try to elevate their ideas as beyond primitive thought.
Explain this.

>What they write down are primitive thoughts every child occasionally thinks.
First, you have no idea what every child occasionally thinks. Second, somebody should probably write down what every child occasionally thinks. It might be an important thought.

I think the big thing we want to know is: why do you care?

what does primitive mean in this context (directing this question @ OP as well)

>Philosophy is about wisdom.

this is dicey IMO n presumptive of a lot of things

philosophy @ its base seems to be about a discussion of ideas there is no implied betterment behind talking about something

>Some philosophies are literally impossible to be understood without understanding their cultural/technological contexts, how is that primitive?

what defines primitive then? is a non-primitive ideation something that relates to something else? technological context exists in primate society so are primate tools/potential primate thoughts not primitive???

There is no intellectual merit in literature.

Writers are not intelligent.

What they write down are primitive thoughts every child occasionally thinks.

They muddle their stories with academic forms and logical fallacies.

They fail to communicate their ideas accurately because they try to elevate their ideas as beyond primitive thought.

Writers and literature is inherently primitive.

does a child think about what pynchon thinks? or shakespeare?

lol changing it around doesnt work

I think his point was that the original doesn't work either. By putting it in a more ridiculous context the original, too, becomes ridiculous.

does a child think about what nietzche thinks? or hegel?

all philosophy stems from primitive thought

everything else is academic forms and logical fallacies

Untrue. The earliest philosophy does indeed stems from primitive thought.
But analytic philosophy stems from mathematics and language.

Tell me again, what philosophers have you read? Or was it just the wikipedia article on philosophy?
