Was listening to tycho, bombay by bicycle club, and alt j when I was writing last night.

Everything lo-fi and ambient-ish. Lately I've been getting a kick out of hypnagogic pop

I could tell you but I don't think you'd understand
You see, there's a thing called science
Following it'll never make you a man
It takes a kind of ego that jacks off to the rhythm
Of the Beatles sticking needles into their veins
Mining those veins for the ore of their lore
Whose existence all can verify

When in doubt look to the sea shore, the ocean floor
There you can hop along with your peanut juice
Begging for just one more inch of that ten inch dick
Hardcover deepthoating your whore of a daughter
While she swoons over my bibliography

I've had a spate of Nick Cave & Warren Ellis' movie soundtracks. Lovely, intimate instrumentals.

Other than that jazz and blues on last.fm, somehow the jazz pace helps my fingers. Sounds the Beats as fuck, I know!

Seriously, I don't get how people can read or write while listening to music. I am a hobby musician and love music, but I just can't do two things at once. I have to get totally immersed in either one or the other to avoid headaches.

>> No.5520376

>>5520366
I suppose it is because as a musician you hear the music more fluently. If two people talk to you simultaneously they will give you a headache, if one is speaking a language you don't understand you can filter.
