Pic related, not least because I read it while wrapped in a huge ass quilt lying on a couch next to a window in Autumn.

>Find the most comfortable position: seated, stretched out, curled up, or lying flat. Flat on your back, on your side, on your stomach. In an easy chair, on the sofa, in the rocker, the deck chair, on the hassock. In the hammock, if you have a hammock. On top of your bed, of course, or in the bed. You can even stand on your hands, head down, in the yoga position. With the book upside down, naturally.

Ah man, I remember being like 9 years old and lugging my dad's 1000 page Dragonlance collection into school every day.
The more I look back at my childhood the more amazed I am that I somehow got by without being horrifically bullied.

Lord of the flies
I'm not sure why but ever since I was a child this book has really comforted me. I remember being very sick at the hospital asking my parents to bring me a copy of it. I fell asleep but when I woke up I read it and it was just the nicest feeling, forgetting about everything and imagining running around on that island

this book is comfy as fuck. one of the comfiest memories.

I blazed through it in about 3 days reading several floors up the university library before class in one of those large chairs that's been used so many times the seat collapses in so when you sit in it you actually sink down and, fuck, man, I fell into that book

fantasy people talk about "world-building" so much but nothing any genre writer has written can rival the world built up by Marquez in that novel
