What are some good books to read in english, preferably with british, irish or scottish slang, but still comprehensible for someone who doesnt speak english very fluently, (i really like noir, sci-fi, historical fiction and even fantasy)
I'd really like to improve my english cause probably i will move in an anglophone country in the future, for a few years.
Thanks in advance

If you know English grammar pretty well then try reading some easier Shakespeare. As a native speaker, it strains your 'natural' comprehension because it forces you to understand what seem like awkward constructions, but in the long run it makes you more flexible in interpreting the language.

Some of it is fuckhard though if you're at an average high school level.

Probably something like Iain Banks or Irvine Welsh or Ian Rankin or something like that. Not really in any of your chosen genres (well maybe a bit noirish) but the language is pretty much what you are asking for I think
