Guess I could understand that a little, having burned myself out a while back. Wouldn't give it up entirely though, just be more selective. Much anime is just adaptations anyway and doesn't go beyond adolescent level; not that there's anything wrong with that, but it'd probably be wise not to wolf a lot down.

Be discerning with the seasonal stuff, check for anime and manga you haven't watched or read, maybe look for works with more 'relevance' particularly at your point in life. Don't worry about how it stacks up to the best of literature, but how it excels in its own medium.
