you just have to find something you're interested in.

I'm a horror/slasher fan, so I got into the tiny subgenere of splatterpunk. FLESH, Books of Blood, ect.
Then I tried reading a Warhammer40k novel and really liked the crunchy, gothic scifi atmosphere.

and from there I branched out into other things. Even if the only thing that allures you is say, porn, then just go read some erotica and then branch out from there.

Try genre fiction and ask people for recommendations. You'll eventually find some niche you'll like.
I try to alternate between reading classics for the sake of educating myself and classic detective novels so I remember that fun things are fun.
