I am reading A princess of Mars. So far it is all in first person which annoys me. Does it stay in first person or do any of the books go to third person?

I feel like the characters are filtered through John Carter, I have never really enjoyed a book that was in first person. I will probably go through it but that really disappointed me.

Hmm, Tarzan wasn't first person. I like having side stories etc, not following one narrative.
