Help me remember the name of this short sci-fi story, /lit/.
It's about the last man on mars, where he set up all these automatons to walk around as though they were people, and they call him up and the phone and stuff. They wind up driving him crazy.
It's probably by Bradbury, but I don't think it's part of The Martian Chronicles.
Does this ring any bells?

Rings my bell, and I've read most of his short stories. I think it actually is part of the chronicles, although I don't have a copy on hand to check right now.

There was a story in The Martian Chronicles like that, at least. A man's family died and he lived with robot replicas of them and treated them as his actual family.

it's not the one where there's all those shadows of dead people on the walls, is it?
