I only use Amazon.com's reviews and /lit/ for getting a good idea of if a book will be good or not.

Whats wrong with goodreads? I use it mostly as a database of books I´ve read and books I want to read.

How about just more books, but those that are about books?

Guaranteed better than Goodreads and Amazon reviews.

I think this misses Clive James' Cultural Amnesia. It's a very dividing book; 50% of people hate it for the meandering mess that it is, 50% love it for the erudite wandering that it is.

Anyone else miss 'listmania' and 'So you want to...?' on Amazon?

Used to be at the bottom of every book's page. Would find and buy (this was before I knew about eBooks) so many books with those two things.

Still can't fathom why they did away with them... must not of fit into their business model in some way...
