The title is clearly ironic.

That being said, a number of the points the writer makes are stupid. Not being able to use words like "dumb" and "lame" because of their historical roots in disability is an over-simplification and misinterpretation. Lame and dumb haven't been used to describe actual medical conditions for almost a century, With that thought process, I also shouldn't be able to describe something as simple, because it referred to the mentally handicapped. Try specifically describing a messed up situation without using a word that has some root in mental illness.

If we extended that logic to other politically correct language, we would basically be unable to discuss or describe color. Even the word "color" could be perceived as politically incorrect.

Why in the hell do you need a non-ableist word for stupid anyway?

we don't, those aren't disorder or diseases.
Of course there is a distinction, but having some part of your body not functioning right is pretty much the definition of disease. A guy with no legs who is forced on a wheelchair will have a hard time commuting and doing simple things, but he will do it because he needs to. He will have a job, maybe a car, if he so wishes he could even do sports.
A guy who has an autism spectrum disorder will have a hard time interfacing with others, which is a very basic and useful human function.
I understand that it irks you that the kid with social anxiety on tumblr and the old guy who has to walk around with a special dog are being put in the same category, but it's being done for the purpose of this discussion. I mean, "muh ableist insults" is already a retarded concept, let's not make it hypocritical too.
