children's books have a mythical clarity and simplicity that effortlessly and elegantly capture elemental themes relevant to all of life

adult books have a highly developed technical and poetical artistry that communicate complex themes and stories

young adult books are jack-off material for bratty self-obsessed teenage fucks

the fact that teenagers are the shittiest humans isn't something that can be "logically" deduced. it has to be seen to be believed.

Because the median isn't necessary. Children read children's books because they're not educated enough to read real literature.

But eventually they are educated enough and they just move on to real books. There doesn't have to be a middleman. Some books are difficult for beginner readers, but there are still hundreds of books that require just as much reading ability as a YA novel.

You don't go from training wheels, to young adult wheels, to a regular bike. You just go from training wheels, to a regular bike. All YA fiction tends to do is get people caught in the trap of believing that they are already reading real literature, so they have no desire to move on like one would from children's books.

Children's books general value comes from their educative value. Meanwhile, YA lit has no educative or aesthetical value.
